Direct Access
Did you know you don’t need a referral to see a physical therapist?
Not everyone is aware that if you are experiencing pain or an injury, you can go directly to your physical therapist. It makes no difference whether you’re dealing with an old or new problem. You can schedule an appointment with one of our therapists in any of the 50 states to get help as soon as possible.
In Florida, a doctor’s note is required within 30 days of physical therapy, and a doctor’s note is required for all Medicare patients before receiving physical therapy services.
Direct Access in the medical community refers to the ability to see a physical therapist whenever you want without obtaining permission from your physician or medical practitioner.
Insurance Info
As a courtesy to our patients, we will verify your health benefits prior to your arrival to determine if there will be a copay, deductible, or coinsurance for therapy services.
At Premier Athletic Rehab Center, there are a wide variety of different healthcare plans that we accept.
Do you have one of these insurance plans? We gladly accept the insurance plans listed below. If your plan is not listed, please call us at (305) 396-9002 as we are always adding new insurance plans.

FAQs
Do PT treatments cause pain?
Physical therapy is not meant to hurt, but to relieve pain! There is a chance, however, as you restore your mobility that your pain levels will fluctuate. You might experience some temporary soreness from using muscles that are weakened or recovering. Rest assured that this is a normal response to physical therapy treatment and not a cause for concern.
Good communication with our therapist will help minimize any discomfort. We want you on your way to quick pain relief and back to normal activities.
Can I benefit from PT treatments?
Everyone can benefit from physical therapy. By working with you and your doctor, we can discuss your options and help determine if physical therapy will be the right choice for you. Call us today to discuss your current condition or request an appointment now.
Do you treat my condition at your clinic?
Our physical therapists have graduated from accredited physical therapy programs and are state-licensed. Depending on the university, the physical therapy program is either a master’s or doctorate level degree.
Rest assured, our therapist is well trained to evaluate and treat your condition.
Physical therapists have years of university-level training in anatomy, physiology, kinesiology (the study of joint movement), neurology, and many of the other medical sciences. You’re in good hands!
